The following is a list of the diversity of projects currently in progress.

 

   

University of Connecticut Floriculture Greenhouse

Description: Renovation and Expansion of an existing 1950's head house building. Work includes New Electrical and HVAC systems, Reconfiguration of classrooms and work spaces, including a chemical storage area and chemical mixing area with fume hood, Fire suppression, architectural modifications to meet accessibility requirements, an addition to the south side bldg. of 2400sf for additional classroom rest rooms, entry area and mechanical space. Demolition of one of the existing greenhouses and replacement with a new greenhouse of approx same size with a minor expansion to the south side of the bldg. Renovations to remaining existing greenhouses consisting of: upgrades to automate the opening and closing of the vents, modifications to the roof of one of the greenhouses and addition of fire suppression sprinklers.
 

L & M Hospital Crossroads Imaging Center

Description: Work will include renovations to approximately 3,640 sq ft which will include selective demolition, concrete work, structural steel, metal fabrications, rough carpentry, interior architectural woodwork, thermal & moisture protection, hollow metal frames, flush wood doors, door hardware, finishes, specialties, radiation protection, fire suppression, plumbing, HVAV and electrical work.
 

Renovations for DSW, Five Below and Facade for Waterford Commons

Description: The project consists of three portions.  The façade portion of the work includes renovations to an existing retail tenant space of approximately 27,777 square feet, single story and includes removal of interior partitions and finishes, installation of a new tenant demising wall, modification and installation of a loading platform and the modification and addition to the existing entrance facades.  The other two portions of the work include renovations to accommodate two tenants that include a new Designer Shoe Warehouse Store and a New Five Below Store.
 

University of Connecticut Bio-Behavioral Complex Renovations

Description: The project consists of Abatement, select demolition and fit out of offices at the Bio-Behavioral Sciences Building 4, Horsebarn Hill Road which is located at the university.  Scope of Work also includes gypsum board, aluminum doors and frames, wood doors, finish hardware, Acoustical ceilings, VCT Flooring, carpet, epoxy paint floor finish, ceramic tile walls & rubber base and painting, plumbing, HVAC and Electrical.

 

New Keg Cooler for F & F Distributors

Description: This project will provide for the conversion of approximately 7,000 square feet of existing Warehouse into a new Keg Cooler for F&F Distributors.  The existing space consists of existing concrete slab with a sports floor and perimeter masonry walls.  The existing roofing consists of metal decking and an EPDM roofing system. Anticipated Scope of Work proposed shall include the sawcut and removal of existing slab at the perimeter to install new 4” rigid Styrofoam board, backfill and slab patch.
 

Ocean Exploration Center

Description: Work includes renovations to various exhibit areas in the Aquarium, including the Challenge of the Deep Building, and the DSV Turtle.  Challenge of the Deep work will provide for renovations of approximately 6,000 sq ft in the building to accommodate new exhibits, including simulated engine room on the Titanic, and a new 4D Theatre.  Exterior renovations will include renovation of an existing mini-sub weighing approximately 28-tons, a new entrance addition to the Challenge of the Deep Building, and a new entrance bridge for visitor access over the existing pool.

Description: Renovations and additions to an existing 22,000 square foot building in which  the scope of work includes piles & earthwork, Concrete,  Masonry, Structural steel, Rough & finish carpentry, millwork, Membrane roofing and Pre-fabricated Wall Panels, Doors and Frames, windows and hardware, glazing, gypsum board, suspended ceiling assemblies, ceramic tile, vinyl flooring,  toilet accessories, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical and  Lighting.
