Dan Carlin

Director of Operations

“Listening is crucial to our early-stage process. Whether it’s a straightforward lump sum contract, a collaborative design/build project, or an intensive multiphase CM effort, it’s important for us to be on the same page. Our transparent open-book approach also enables you to make informed decisions every step of the way. This ensures our clients and their stakeholders are confident in the process, and pleased with the results.”

Dan Carlin has been our Director of Operations since 1996.  Dan continually oversees executional efficiency, cost control and schedule adherence in the administrative sphere — while also monitoring quality and safety controls on the jobsite level for all projects.

Having started working full-time in 1982, Dan is an industry veteran who has held numerous management and field-based positions, Dan’s key areas of focus for Carlin Construction include pre-construction estimating, project scheduling and development, oversight of superintendents, and qualification/selection of subcontractors. On our Construction Management and Design/Build projects, Dan is also responsible for design phase reviews, constructability reviews and value engineering.

Dan is also active in the community, having served on local school building committees, and volunteering as a leader with the local Boy Scout troop for many years.
