An offsite Emergency Operations Center (EOC) for the Millstone Nuclear Power facility in Waterford CT, this facility is also the primary operations center for emergency response management for Dominion Nuclear Connecticut. In addition to coordinating radiological and environmental assessments during an event, the EOC serves as the hub for all emergency data transmission and communications between Millstone officials and local, state and federal officials.
The new facility is comprised of a muster area, field monitoring storage, an emergency operations floor, an NRC room, data rooms, security and other support spaces. Additionally, the sitework performed by Carlin included the creation of parking for up to 75 vehicles.
