Purchased as part of UConn’s relocation of its regional campus from West Hartford to downtown Hartford, this 4-story office building at 38 Prospect Street provides additional space for classes and offices. A few hundred feet north of the main campus facility, the former Hartford Times building, Carlin Construction performed interior renovations for about 70% of the existing space — while also performing selective exterior renovations.
Interior renovation work included:
- Lower Level: computer labs, offices, lounge, changing rooms and updated bathrooms
- Ground Floor: classrooms, lobby, open offices, conference rooms
- Second Floor: School of Social Work faculty offices and conference rooms
- Third Floor: School of Business classroom, offices, conference room and adjunct offices
- Fourth Floor: School of Business offices, conference room and adjunct offices
